News

Recent Cork Floods - The Haven is dry!

The recent serious flooding in Cork city and county which has caused extensive losses for many could have had serious consequences for The Haven but as Psalm 93 says:

The floods have risen up, O Lord.

The floods have roared like thunder;

the floods have lifted their pounding waves.

But mightier than the violent raging of the seas,

mightier than the breakers on the shore—

the Lord above is mightier than these!

We thank God for his deliverance!

Cafe volunteers are still needed particularly for help between 12-3pm (lunch) for table clearing, sandwich making, etc. - not scary stuff like coffee making!

The Haven - Churches Together for the People of Cork City and County

Today there are many who are disenchanted with the traditional church and have drifted away or who are struggling with faith or other issues

Christians from many denominations in Cork City and County are getting together to establish The Haven, a Resource Centre at Bachelor's Quay, Cork, as a focus or shopfront for contempory faith and serving the community around us.

The Haven offers a place to explore direction and meaning in life!

Come in and explore the vision for The Haven, a fresh way for the Churches of Cork, city and county, to serve the people.
